Quota is a group of Kingaroy women of all ages who want to share their talents and skills with the local community. Our motto is "we share". We also raise funds to help worthwhile charities nominated by our members.

And we're involved in all sorts of fun projects!

On the first Monday of every month, we hold a morning tea at the Kingaroy Coffee Lounge in Kingaroy Street from 10am for prospective new members.

So come along some time ... we'd love to meet you!

Year 11 Students Enjoy Breakfast Speaker

October 15, 2009 - Our Country FM's Michael Monk, (pictured above with Kingaroy Quota Club president Wendy Tully), was the guest speaker at the club's annual Student Breakfast held at the Kingaroy Coffee Lounge today.

Every year the Quota Club of Kingaroy invites Year 11 students to hear an inspiring speaker tell their life and career story.

This year students from Nanango State High School and Kingaroy State High School joined the Quota members to listen to Michael sketch out how his career had developed along different pathways since he had left school.

Quotarians Go Racing For The Flying Doctor

ABOVE: Quota's "model" Active Citizen students from Kingaroy State High School helped to parade some of the historic fashions on show on Oaks Day

August 3, 2009 - Quota Kingaroy members helped to celebrate the Horses Birthday (August 1) with their very own Oaks Day race meeting in Kingaroy at the weekend to help raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The horses were hand-crafted by members and mounted on slides ready to race. "Jockeys" were selected by a draw of paddock passes and prizes were given to the "punters" who drew the lucky winners in a calcutta. Rides were also auctioned, raising even more for the RFDS.

The jockey had to prove their bottle by quickly winding in their mounts on a wine bottle while stewards watched closely to ensure there was no rough riding.

Amongst the competitors were Federal Member for Maranoa Bruce Scott and South Burnett Regional Mayor David Carter.

Special thanks to Michael Monk (Our Country FM), who compered the day, Col Otto (Otto Valuations) who conducted the auctions, and Linda Silburn who organised a "through the ages" fashion show to entertain the punters
